Weld Australia has certified Fremantle Steel Group’s Jandakot workshop to AS/NZS ISO 3834 Part 2, the comprehensive level of the international welding quality standard, and to AS/NZS 5131 Construction Category CC3 for structural steelwork fabrication, surface coating and architecturally exposed structural steelwork.
The ISO 3834 schedule covers manual metal arc, submerged arc, gas metal arc, flux-cored and TIG welding to AS/NZS 1554 Parts 1, 4 and 5 and AS/NZS 3992, with welding coordination by AS 1796 Certificate 10 qualified staff.
CC3 is the construction category most major infrastructure, resources and defence clients now specify for structural steel, and it can only be held together with a current ISO 3834 certificate.
